What data we collect and why
pressanykey.tech has no user accounts, comments or forms that collect personal data.
If you accept it in the cookie notice, the site uses Google Analytics 4 to obtain aggregated usage statistics: number of visits, most-read pages, approximate geographic origin, and device type. The purpose is to improve the site’s content. If you don’t accept, Google Analytics is not loaded.
Google Analytics 4 does not collect data that directly identifies any individual. IP addresses are anonymised automatically before any processing.
Cookies and local storage
Google Analytics sets the following cookies in your browser, only if you accept them:
| Cookie | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
_ga | 2 years | Distinguishes unique visitors |
_ga_XXXXXXXX | 2 years | Stores session state |
These are third-party cookies (Google Ireland Limited). You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser; the notice will appear again. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
The site also stores two technical preferences in your browser’s local storage (these are not cookies and are never sent to any server): your chosen colour theme (pak-theme) and your answer to the cookie notice (cookie-consent).
Data Processor: Google
Usage data is sent to Google’s servers (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google may transfer this data to servers outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards set out in the Google Analytics Terms of Service.
For more information on how Google processes data: Google Privacy Policy.
Legal basis
Analytics cookies are only set with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI), which you give or refuse in the cookie notice and can withdraw at any time. The technical preferences in local storage are necessary for functionality you explicitly request and do not require consent.
Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, and objection by contacting via LinkedIn. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Spain: Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
Embedded third-party content
YouTube videos are embedded from the youtube-nocookie.com domain, which does not set tracking cookies until you play the video. From that moment on, YouTube (Google) may collect data according to its own privacy policy.
Podcast episodes are served from podcast.pressanykey.tech. When you play or download them, the server logs technical request data (IP address, date and the app used) for security purposes and aggregated listening statistics.
If you follow links to external platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, LinkedIn, GitHub…), those platforms’ privacy policies apply.
